Extending Your Study Abroad Program

DU Partner Programs (DUPP)

Students must submit a Yearlong Study Abroad Petition to be considered.

  • Submit early! The OIE reviews petitions in the order they are received.
  • Petitions will be considered as spots open up.
    • There is no guarantee that spots will become available or that you will be granted an extension.
    • Spots may become available after students have already arrived at their host cities. You still need to submit a petition if you're interested.
  • Contact your OIE advisor ASAP to talk about likelihood, visa considerations, and next steps.

Unaffiliated Programs (AUP/UPP)

Contact your OIE advisor to discuss the possibility of extending your unaffiliated program.
